By working with MSD Animal Health you indirectly support Afya Serengeti. However, if you would like to do more, consider a donation to the Global Alliance for Rabies (GARC). The GARC is a charitable organization that generates funding for rabies control in Asia and Africa. You can find more information about GARC on its website: www.rabiescontrol.net.
You can also donate through the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, USA. The Lincoln Park Zoo, a key supporter of the Afya Serengeti project, also leads the Serengeti Health Initiative. This program is designed to protect animals and people in the Serengeti National Park from transmissible diseases such as rabies and canine distemper. Every year in the month of September organisations around the world unite to participate in World Rabies Day. A global initiative bringing together individuals, organisations and governments, the aim is to increase awareness and education, and have a positive impact on rabies prevention.
